Call Me Ishmael – Day 5 of 365

Day Five Take the first sentence from your favorite book and make it the first sentence of your post.

(I can’t find my copy of Anne Frank and Me at the moment so I’ll go with the first line from the book I’m currently reading)

“Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood.”

Even though I haven’t finished reading this book so my opinion may change later on. But I think it would be cool to be a half-blood. To be a child of a human and a god. I don’t know which god I would want to be the child of. Mainly because like I said, haven’t finished the book and I don’t know everything about the gods. But as of right now, I’d like to be the daughter of Aphrodite the Goddess of Love. I’m a little romantic. Hopefully I’ll finish the book soon and can tell you definitely. You all who know about the gods are probably laughing at me right now but she’s who I’d pick as of right now. I’ll update you all later.

Even though Percy has to face monsters and possibly the God of the Underworld himself, I still think it would be really cool to be a demigod. I mean, yeah I could die but I don’t know, I’ve always been into the fantasy worlds. And I’ve always been interested in the Greek Gods & Goddesses. I need to read up on them more.

Quote Me – Day 4 of 365

Day Four: Do you have a favorite quote that you return to again and again? What is it, and why does it move you?

No I unfortunately I cannot remember all of my favorite quotes, so I cannot return to them. I should start a book of my favorite quotes though. Because a lot of them are so fantastic. Marilyn Monroe and Ginger Rogers had a lot of great ones. Of course there are the people who have been bringing up the “did Marilyn really say that or did someone just write that for tumblr?” Because many I see on tumblr and fall in love with those quotes. But I think Marilyn would like that we appreciate the quote even if she didn’t actually say it. If I had to choose one to share with all you lovely folks it would be from Andrew McMahon…

Also this one needs to be seen also..

These quotes don’t need any explanation. Nope they don’t.

Kick It…Day 3 of 365

Day Three: What’s the 11th item on your bucket list?

I don’t per say have a “list” made out for a bucket list but I’ll look at my bucket list board on Pinterest and see what’s #11 from the bottom up.

“Witness a Wedding Proposal.”

Already happened. A few times. And I don’t mean the ones you see on tv (like Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Celebration with Ryan Seacrest) like the other night. I’ve seen at least three I think at Manchester Monarchs games. Oh, I saw (well kinda not a good view) saw two lesbians get engaged last year during the Pride Parade in Boston! I can’t think of if I’ve seen more or not. But I’ve never seen one up close than wasn’t so public.

I don’t know why I have this in my bucket list board on Pinterest if I’ve already checked this off years ago. Oh well.

January 2….Resolved

Day Two: Have you ever made a New Year’s Resolution that you kept?

Nope. I don’t usually make resolutions because I can never keep them. Except this year I made a few. See my post here. In the past the only thing I could think of for a resolution is to lose weight. And I would try to eat healthier at the beginning of the year but it’s always a struggle. Mainly because nobody else would join me to eat healthier and I would end up caving because there would be so much bad food around me. I can’t blame my family, it’s my fault that I always cave. But I wish we could start eating better. Losing weight is on my resolutions this year. Because I really do need to lose weight. I wanted to start is yesterday but seeing as how we were at the hotel, I didn’t have many options for breakfast. Actually my mom picked me up breakfast downstairs so I could try to get more sleep.

Hopefully this year I can keep a few of my resolutions. I hope to at least keep #1 & #2 this year. I’ll try to keep you guys posted about my resolutions as the year progresses.

365 Days of Writing Prompt…Day One

When I first started this blog, I was trying to find ways to post constantly, if not daily. I came across the 365 Writing Prompt Challenge from The Daily Post. Unfortunately when I started this blog, it was June. I didn’t want to jump in the middle of the ebook, so I decided to wait until the new year. I hope I can stick with it for the entire year!

Day One: Where were you last night when 2014 turned into 2015? Is that where you’d wanted to be?

Best of 2014

Yep that’s right. I’m doing my own “best of” lists. Mainly because the popular lists never have what I love in them. Hopefully if all goes well, I’ll be doing more lists like this. Well “top 10” lists that is. (Please check them all out. I know it’s a long length of lists but there is some really good stuff in here!)

Best Movies of 2014 (in order of my honest opinion)

Movies in 2014 I Wish I Had Seen

Best New TV Shows of 2014

I would just like to say, I’m still upset that Chelsea Handler and Craig Ferguson both ended their late night shows this year. I miss you both on my tv every night. But I’m excited for what James Corden is going to bring to The Late, Late Show!

A Return to WordPress

I’m so sorry that I abandoned this blog for the past several months. I went through a bad break up. It was only bad because I was an utter complete mess afterwards. I didn’t want to try to post anything on here were I might regret it afterwards. I try to keep this blog somewhat respectable and clean (compared to my tumblr where I let myself be free and open). Once I decided I was okay to post on wordpress again, I kinda wanted to wait until the new year. A fresh restart. But I wanted to do one last post of 2014. Give a small recap of what has happened the past few months and what I hope for in 2015.
