“Take a look at your bookcase. If you had enough free time, which book would be the first one you’d like to reread? Why?”
Actually last week I started rereading “Anne Frank & Me”. I first read it in middle school. I checked it out of the library in 7th grade to do a book report on but I was such a bad student and pretty much bs-ed the report. But I was intrigued with it and rechecked it out of the library in the 8th grade. That’s when I finally sat down and read it. I loved it so much. I didn’t know a lot about the Holocaust (I still don’t know too much, they never taught us a lot). But it was the first book were I (sorta) actually felt with what the main character felt while reading it. I’m not gonna give any spoilers away.
I’d also like to reread the first Gossip Girl book and then continue the series. Same with Pretty Little Liars. I never did read after the first books of those series.
I have so many books to actually read though so those will have to wait.

This week we lost two amazing legends, Robin Williams and Lauren Bacall. So I’m using this week’s “Friday Favorites” to remember them. Unfortunately I didn’t see a lot of Lauren’s work before she passed. I wish I could have been watching her movies before she passed, but not to many people carry old movies anymore. Such a shame.
Robin – Oh goodness, it’s so hard to pick out just one. My favorites would have to be Flubber, Mrs. Doubtfire, Happy Feet, Aladdin, and Jumanji. I haven’t seen Good Will Hunting and I’m not sure if I’ve seen Patch Adams. I’ve seen so many clips of Patch Adams that I might have not seen it but I could have.
Lauren – Unfortunately I’ve only seen “How to Marry a Millionaire”. But man that was a good one. Lauren was so good. I am definitely going to watch more of her movies once I can find them. Especially since she did a few movies with Humphrey Bogart. I need to watch so many classic movies.
Robin – Oh my god, you can watch him on any late night talk show and you’d be rolling on the floor from laughing so hard. Especially with Letterman. Oh man, so hilarious. But here’s his last interview on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Lauren: Even though this is short, I still think it’s brilliant.
Lauren – Man Lauren could sing. Love her voice. I need more!
Robin – Okay so Robin didn’t really sing too much in public, but I found this video on youtube and it’s hilarious!
We will miss you both so much. Thank you for everything you have done. Rest peacefully now.
“Have you ever named an inanimate object? (Your car? Your laptop? The volleyball that kept you company while you were stranded in the ocean?) Share the story of at least one object with which you’re on a first-name basis.”
Oh yes. I do it to a lot of things I own.
- The Doctor – are my phone & ipod. I need to rename my ipod I guess.
- Nicola – is one of my memory cards for my camera. I have a few but I can’t think of all of their names.
- Frank (the monkey), Twenty-two (the bear), Geronimo (the bear), Precious (the bear), Dave (the polar bear), Blue Bell (the blue bunny), Peacock (the green bear), Lola (the sloth) and Pebbles (the penguin) – are all my stuffed animals I have gotten/received from my girlfriend since we went on our first date. Pebbles isn’t in the photo below.
Most things just have the name “fucker” or “shit” because they piss me off when they don’t work. My laptop doesn’t have a name yet.

On Sunday my dad and I went to Boston’s Comic Con. It was our first time. I’ve been wanting to go for a little while but I was kinda worried because I wasn’t sure what to expect. You see everything about San Diego Comic Con and it always looked like a little too much for me to handle. But I wish I could go because that’s where every television show and movie go to.
At least I got to go to BCC this year. There was one reason why I HAD to go…Captain Jack….I mean John Barrowman. If you don’t know who John Barrowman is, he’s a Scottish-American actor/singer/dancer/everything else. He played Captain Jack Harkness on Doctor Who and the DW spinoff show Torchwood. He currently plays Malcolm Merlyn on Arrow.
I loved meeting John. Even though it was only for a few seconds and I had to stand in line for an hour and a half, it was still awesome. I wish I could have hugged him in our photograph but my dad wanted to join the shot, so no hug. But what I loved most was that John pulled us in close. No other celebrity or sports player has ever pulled me in close. *side note, I haven’t ever posted a full body shot of me on here…so for those who don’t know, I’m a big girl.* Usually anyone I pose with for a photograph, they barely touch me. I always feel like I’m the most disgusting human being after posing. John is photographed with hundreds, thousands of people every week but for those ten seconds, he made me feel special. That’s what I love about him. He makes every person he comes in contact with (even for just a second) feel special. He’s truly one of a kind.
I also got these pretty cool name tags. My girlfriend and I love Orange is the New Black so I had to get us Piper & Alex. I HAD to get a Ten & Rose name tags too. It was a must! Since they were 1/$5 or 5/$20, I had to get one more. So I had to get a Captain Jack. I wish I could have gotten a Ianto Jones one too (so all my couples could be complete) but I didn’t want to spend more money. I wish it had been 6/$20. I wanna find out if I can get these name tags somewhere.
The costumes were pretty awesome. There were so many doctors but it was kinda annoying that everyone just dressed up as Eleven. Well there was a Four too. But I just wanted so many Nines and Tens. There was even a Rose Tyler from The Idiot’s Lantern. I wish I could have gotten a photo with her. I was too intimidated to ask for a photograph with any cosplayers. There was even a Carl Fredricksen and (a female) Russell from Up. They weren’t together but they were there. A few Elsas and Annas from Frozen. A group of Ghostbusters. There was a Jessica Rabbit. Inspector Gadget. Two boys dressed up as Ash and Misty from Pokemon. There was a Captain Jack. Oh and I think Cas from Supernatural. I don’t know, I’ve never watched that show. That guy from Breaking Bad. A few Jokers and Batmen. And so many more!
I don’t know if I’ll ever go to Comic Con again. Only because it’s too many people crammed into one room and they move at turtle speed or spot and talk in the middle of the way. I’m not really claustrophobic, only when it comes to times like that. But I had fun. I’m glad I got to meet John Barrowman.
I’m so sorry for not doing Friday Favorites for the past two weeks. But they are back today!
Movies: Have you seen the trailer yet for The Imitation Game with Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley? Oh my god it looks so good! But everything that Benny does is so unbelievably brilliant! If you don’t know about the movie (like I did before I watched the trailer), it’s the story of Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win World War II. To read more about the movie click here.
Music: Monday night I finally watched the music video to Sia’s Chandelier and I am officially in love with the song and video. It doesn’t have Sia in it at all but it has Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms with a wig similar to Sia’s hair cut. I’ve never watched Dance Moms but this little girl is amazing! I love dancing like this. I wish ALL music videos had dancers like this in it.
Youtube: One of my favorite Youtubers Hartbeat posted a new video on Monday about how to respond to someone who tries to be negative towards you whether in person on online. I absolutely love that way she chooses to react. To see her video, watch here. You also have to watch this video of hers that is one of my favorites.
That’s all for this week. I’m sorry it’s only three things. But they are amazing things in my opinion and you definitely should check them out!
