Do I Really Miss You?

Do I really miss you?

Ever since you moved back, I’ve been pondering over if we’re going to restart our friendship at all again. “Do I really miss you?” We haven’t spoken for three years but weirdly enough, I still kinda miss you. I haven’t really had an actual best friend since you. Well my girlfriend is my best friend now. Other than that, I have a few friends I talk to occasionally. I think what we (mostly I) have gone through since we graduated high school six years ago has left me not trusting many people. But I figured that when you moved back, you might contact me. Seeing as how you didn’t have as many friends here as you did in your last town. You’ve been back for a month now and still no word from you.

But as crazy as tumblr can be it has taught me a valuable lesson…don’t let people back in once you’ve removed them from your life.  I’ve let my ex-girlfriend back into my life and that only left me with heart break. I’ve tried to rekindle friendships but I usually stop talking to them after a while because I can’t trust them. So…do I really miss you? No. I miss what we used to have. It was a great friendship. I don’t know what happened in your life for you to treat me the way that you did but I can’t accept you back into my life because I’ll always worry that you’ll do those things again. And I already know that you don’t want to be friends again since you backed out of the barbecue that I attended and you didn’t (after you said you would). I still think to this day you didn’t go because you knew I would be there. It’s kinda funny how you can’t even be at the same party as me. You don’t have to worry, if we ever run into each other again I won’t talk to you at all.

Because having my girlfriend, Chantelle, Allie and the occasional conversations on tumblr is all that I need.
