This is something I want to try so badly. I love s’mores so badly. And it would be so cool to do this all at once. I love this idea because of two reasons. I know everyone loves roasting marshmallows over fire. But here in New Hampshire, you have to have a fire permit for everything but a barbecue and a candle. So we would have to plan out to do like a bonfire. Another reason is because I haven’t perfected the microwave s’more yet. The marshmallow always grows ten times it’s size. And they don’t get toasty on top like the photo above. But then again, I found this on Pinterest. And everyone knows that real life Pinterest creations don’t always look as good as the photo. I hope to try this one day and I can show you what I end up for a creation.
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 8 large marshmallows
- graham crackers for dipping
- Preheat the oven to 450.
- In a cast iron skillet, add the chocolate chips. Snip the large marshmallows in half and top the chocolate chips with them. (You could also use a scoop of mini marshmallows alternatively.)
- Once the oven is up to temperature, add the skillet to the oven. Bake for 7-9 minutes, or until the marshmallows turn golden brown.
- Serve with graham crackers for scooping.
The original post is here. I added the recipe in this post because the original can be deleted at any time so I wanted you guys to be able to grab it at any time.
